Spanish Water Dog PuppyThings Your Should Receive With Your New Puppy

When you make your final decision on where to buy your puppy, make sure that, along with your puppy, you receive the following:

  1. An individual Kennel Club (KC) registration certificate which will enable you to transfer the puppy into your ownership. KC registration papers are the only papers accepted if you want to show your Spanish Water Dog or compete in certain agility tests.
  2. The Breeders Contract, signed by both you and the breeder, and explaining  any endorsements that apply to your puppy.
  3. A minimum 3 generation pedigree
  4. A schedule of dates and types of vaccinations and any other treatments the puppy has received, as well as a recommended schedule for further vaccinations and worming.
  5. A feeding schedule and enough of the puppy’s regular food to last at least 24 hours, as well as recommendations of the best food to buy for your puppy.
  6. Any reading material on the breed or puppy care that the breeder may have to offer.
  7. You may be given pet insurance cover with a recognised pet insurer for approximately 6 weeks, giving you time to put your own insurance cover in place.
